Kalamazoo, MI – Wings Stadium, which is also home to The Annex and The Cube, announces RATT along with special guests Dokken, Sebastian Bach and Lita Ford will perform at Wings Stadium Sunday, August 18^th at 6 p.m.

Fans of these artist won’t have to wait long to purchase tickets for this epic show, as tickets will go on-sale tomorrow, Friday, May 24^th at 10 a.m.

Ticket prices for this memorable show are $41 and $31.

RATT, who last performed at Wings Stadium in 2005, helped usher in the “pop-metal/hard-rock” era with its self-titled EP and then the triple-platinum, full-length debut album ‘Out of the Cellar’ and its gigantic hit single “Round and Round,” a true ’80s classic. The Los Angeles-based band’s string of gold and platinum albums include ‘Invasion of Your Privacy,’ ‘Dancing Undercover,’ ‘Reach for the Sky’ and ‘Detonator’ which spawned many hit singles including “Lay it Down,” “You’re in Love,” “Dance,” “Way Cool Jr.” and “Lovin’ You’s a Dirty Job.”

Formed in 1976, Dokken has accumulated numerous charting singles and has sold more than 10 million albums worldwide. Dokken, which is known for their hits, “Dream Warriors”, “Breaking the Chains” and “Alone Again”, was nominated for a Grammy in 1989.

Canadian rocker, Sebastian Bach, is a singer who achieved mainstream success as the front man for Skid Row from 1987 to 1996. Since his departure from Skid Row, he has had many television roles, acted in Broadway plays, and leads a successful solo career.

Lita Ford, who was the lead guitarist for The Runaways in the late 1970s before embarking on a solo career in the 1980s, has had mega-hits with “Kiss Me Deadly” and “Close My Eyes Forever”.

Stadium Management Company owns the Wings Stadium Complex, the Kalamazoo Wings hockey team and Wings West. The Wings Stadium Complex is comprised of three buildings; Wings Stadium seats more than 5,100 fans for K-Wings home games and more than 6,000 people for concerts and other stage events. The Annex seats 1,367 for ice events and can hold up to 2,850 for non-ice events such as car, boat, and trade shows. The Cube plays host to both ice and non-ice events. Wings West is comprised of two ice sheets plus Old Burdick’s Restaurant at Wings West. The Borgess Ice Rink can accommodate more than 1,200 fans hockey and other ice events. The Olympic Rink plays host to both ice and non-ice events. Both facilities are available for rental and feature numerous catering and meeting opportunities.

LABATT BLUE USADULT HOCKEY CLASSIC TO INVADE KALAMAZOO THIS WEEKEND

Kalamazoo, MI- Wings Stadium, which is also home to The Annex and The Cube, announces the complex will host the Annual Labatt Blue USAdult Hockey Classic, a sanctioned USA Hockey tournament, this weekend, Friday, May 17^th-Sunday, May 19^th.

The three-day tournament will feature a field of 50 teams from across the Midwest. With over 600 players, this tournament will be one of the largest tournaments ever to be held exclusively at the Wings Stadium Complex and Wings West.

Featuring multiple divisions, the Labatt Blue USAdult Hockey Classic will start tomorrow afternoon and will end on Sunday, May 19^th after the completion of each division’s championship game.

While each division will have a champion, the real winner could be the Kalamazoo community. With a field of 50 teams, the tournament will have a sizeable impact on the economy bringing in tens of thousands of dollars into the community. Area restaurants and hotels should be the most affected; however, all retailers should feel a positive trickledown effect from the spending of the participants of the tournament.

Over the years this tournament has grown leaps and bounds. Seven years ago, the Labatt Blue USAdult Hockey Classic had 20 teams.

Kalamazoo, MI – Wings Stadium, which is also home to The Annex and The Cube, announces the complex will host the Borgess Run for the Health of It Race Expo this Saturday, May 4^th from 11 a.m.-6 p.m.

The expo is used as the primary sign-in location for runners that will be participating in this Sunday’s Kalamazoo Marathon.

In addition to packet pickup, sponsor booths will be setup on the Wings Stadium main floor for information about the Borgess Run’s great community partners. Runners and non-runners alike are invited to come down and enjoy all the race expo has to offer.

There will be a sign making station where your supporters can make personalized signs to hold along the course and cheer you on.

If you want to make your race extra memorable – and make a difference, be sure to have your photo taken at the picture station. Pictures are just $5 and you immediately receive the print. There are fun props available for use in the photo and proceeds go to the Borgess Run’s four Children’s Charities: Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kalamazoo, Girls on the Run of Greater Kalamazoo, YMCA of Greater Kalamazoo, and The Borgess Foundation Healthy Babies initiative.

WINGS STADIUM ANNOUNCES SPRING AND SUMMER TICKET OFFICE HOURS

Kalamazoo, MI – Wings Stadium, which is also home to The Annex and The Cube, announces their spring and summer Ticket Office hours.

Starting on Monday, April 29^th- Monday, September 2^nd, the Ticket Office will be open on Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. as well as on event days.

On event days that fall on Monday – Saturday, the Ticket Office will open at 10 a.m., while on Sunday event days the Ticket Office will open at noon.

The Borgess Run for the Health of It race expo is at Wings Stadium this year on Saturday, May 4. Doors open at 11 a.m. and goes until 6 p.m. This is the ideal way to pick up your race packet.

There’s plenty of free parking if you drive, or you can take a free shuttle from the Radisson or Holiday Inn West. Contact the hotels for specifics on shuttle times.

Come hungry. Concessions – lunch and snacks – are available all day, and the Pasta Dinner is served from 5 – 7 p.m. for just $15. All food is available on the upper level.

Come thirsty. Once again, Arcadia Brewing Company has brewed The Big Finish ale, and it will be available at Burdicks on the upper level of Wings Stadium as you exit the expo.

Saturday, May 4th: At the Expo at Wings Stadium (3600 Vanrick Drive, Kalamazoo) from 11 a.m. – 6 p.m. Yes, you can have someone else pick up your packet at the Expo.

Sunday, May 5th, race day packet pickup: Sunday morning on the race campus, inside the Borgess Health & Fitness Center, up to a half hour before race time. Packet pickup starts at 6:30 a.m.

Please note that there is NO race day registration.

BOB DYLAN COMES TO WINGS STADIUM THIS SATURDAY

Kalamazoo, MI- The Wings Stadium Complex, which is home to The Annex and The Cube, announces Bob Dylan, with special guest Dawes, will perform in concert at Wings Stadium on this Saturday, April 20^th at 7:30 pm featuring all of the great classic hits throughout Dylan’s five-decade career.

Ticket prices for this memorable show are $49.50 and $29.50.

Dylan has graced the Wings Stadium stage on three other occasions, October 27, 1978, November 19, 1996 and most recently on November 8, 2008.

This American icon has written more than 600 songs and his multiple hits have certainly helped shape American folk music along with traditional and Christian rock, country, R&B and blues. Dylan has released 46 albums over his incredible career and his music has remained part of the American musical landscape since the 1960’s.

One of the most influential figures of the 20th century, musically and culturally, Dylan was included in the Time 100: The Most Important People of the Century where he was called “master poet, caustic social critic and intrepid, guiding spirit of the counterculture generation”.

Dylan’s newest studio album, Tempest, was released in September 0f 2012 featuring ten new original songs and that release of Tempest coincided with the 50th Anniversary of Dylan’s debut album which was released by Columbia Records in 1962.

WINGS WEST TO HOST MICHIGAN ARM WRESTLING COMPETITION

Kalamazoo, MI – Wings West, which is located 5076 Sports Drive in Kalamazoo, announces the facility will host a Michigan State Arm Wrestling Competition on Saturday, April 20^th.

The 2013 Michigan State Arm Wrestling Championships marks the second-straight year that the event has been held at Wings West, located at 5076 Sports Drive in Kalamazoo, Michigan.

Weigh-ins will run from 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. this Saturday with the event to commence at 2:30 p.m. the Finals will start later that night around 6 p.m.

The Michigan State Arm Wrestling Championships has competitors coming from as far away Florida, Louisiana, Minnesota and Texas, as well as competitors from all across the Midwest and Canada.

The Main Event this year will feature Craig Tullier, a former National Champion as well as Former Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Champion from Louisiana versus Scott Ballinger, the current Arnold Schwarzenegger Classic Champion, from Indiana in a Best-of-Five matchup. .

In the team event, the nation’s number one squad and 2012 AAA National Champions, Team Michigan will be competing. Team Michigan consist of several small teams from around the state with 11 individual National Champions, that will all meet at Wings West to find out who is the best local team and individuals in the sport of Arm Wrestling.

The Michigan State Championships will have several Men’s, Women’s, and a Teen’s divisions that are broke up into several weight classes. Competitors can compete right or left handed or both if they like. Anyone is welcome to come and try as there will be both Beginner and Pro divisions.

Men’s divisions will be broken up in right and left division with weight classes set at 143, 154, 176, 198, 242 and open.

Women will compete at an open right arm division, while teens will battle in a right arm division open division (subject to change).

Awards will be given for 1^st-3^rd in each class and there will also be a team event (10 arms max) with the winning team receiving $300.

Entry fee to compete is $20 for the first class and $10 additional classes, all kid classes are $5.

Admission to watch the arm wrestling event is also FREE.

ROLLER DERBY DOUBLE HEADER THIS SATURDAY AT WINGS STADIUM

Kalamazoo, MI- The Wings Stadium Complex, which is home to The Annex and The Cube, announce the complex will be hosting the Killamazoo Derby Darlins this Saturday, April 13th.

Tomorrow will be the second of six home dates for the Killamazoo Derby Darlins and Killacrew.

The Killamazoo Killacrew will begin the night at 5:30 p.m. as they battle the Battle Creek Cereal Killers, while the Derby Darlins will face the Try-City Roller Girls in the main event immediately after.

After this Saturday, the Derby Darlins will compete at Wings Stadium on Saturday, June 22^nd, (Vs Ann Arbor Brawlstars) Saturday, July 20^th(Vs TBA), in the WFTDA Division 2 Tournament from Friday, August 23^rd-Saturday, August 25^th and on Saturday, September 14^th (Vs TBA)

Imagine fans cheering for high-speed action and bone-jarring hits from talented athletes. While that could describe the Kalamazoo Wings, it also describes the sport of Roller Derby and in particular the Killa Krew and the Derby Darlins.

A high-octane sport, Roller derby takes place on a circuit track. The two teams playing send five players each onto the track — three blockers (defense), one pivot (last line of defense) and one jammer (scorer).

Starting back in 1922, roller derby reached its initial peak in the late 70’s and early 80’s. Known for its physical nature and entertaining brand of sport, roller derby is once again gaining the eye of the American public.

Tickets are $12 in advance and $16 at the door for adults, students are $11 in advance and $15 at the door, while children 6-12 are only $5 and kids under 5 are FREE. Tickets are available at the Wings Stadium Ticket Office and all Ticketmaster location.
