Game Preview

Division rivals will collide tonight for the first half of a home and home series, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Cincinnati Cyclones. On the season, Kalamazoo is 2-5-1-0 against Cincinnati and 0-5-1-0 in their last six meetings.

Earning just one point in their last four games (0-3-0-1), which were all on the road, Kalamazoo returns to Wings Stadium looking to extend a three-game home winning streak. The K-Wings enters the night in third place in the North Division, one point behind the Cyclones for second place.

Coming out of the all-star break with a record of 7-3-0-0 in their last 10 games, the Cyclones enter Wings Stadium looking to extend a two-game road winning streak. Besides leading Kalamazoo by two points for second place, Cincinnati, trails the Toledo Walleye by a single point for the top spot in the North.

New Faces

Earlier today the K-Wings added three new faces to their lineup. Joining the K-Wings will be forwards Dean Strong (reassigned from Worcester) and Bryan Leitch (reassigned by Milwaukee) and free-agent signing, defenseman Billy Bezeau.

 

Cleaver Loaned to Springfield

Forward Rick Cleaver has been loaned to the AHL’s Springfield Falcons. Cleaver loan comes off the heels off of a stellar performance at the 2010 ECHL All-Star Game, where he registered a goal and assist. 

 

Snapping a Streak

The K-Wings enter tonight’s game on a four-game losing streak. The four-game drought is the longest this season by Kalamazoo.
