Defenseman Billy Bezeau Comes to Kalamazoo After Starting the Season in France

Kalamazoo, MI- The Kalamazoo Wings, proud member of the ECHL and affiliate of the Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League, announce the signing of defenseman Billy Bezeau (bee-zoh). Per club policy, the terms of the contact will be undisclosed.    

A first-year pro, Bezeau began the season overseas in France with the Morzine-Avorzi. In 11 games, Bezeau recorded 6 points (3 goals, 3 assists) and amassed 61 minutes in penalties.

The native of Miscou, New Brunswick played two seasons of collegiate hockey at University of Moncton and five seasons of junior hockey primarily Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

An offensive defenseman, Bezeau’s most productive season was in junior’s with the Quebec Ramparts (QMJHL), where he produced 46 points (6 goals, 40 assists) in 54 games.

The K-Wings will return to Wings Stadium tonight, January 22nd with a 7:30 p.m. face-off versus the Cincinnati Cyclones on Culver’s Night. The contest on January 22nd will also be a Frugal Fan Friday, which features $1 beer and $1 hot dogs.
