Game Preview

While neither team currently holds it, first place in the North Division will be on the line this afternoon, as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Toledo Walleye on Charter Day. Kalamazoo has won the last two encounters between the teams, including a 6-3 victory back on January 2nd at Wings Stadium.

Two nights ago, the K-Wings earned their largest margin of victory of the season a six-goal romp over Cincinnati. Last night, Kalamazoo suffered their worse loss of the year a five-goal decision also to Cincinnati. With 49 points, the K-Wings are two points behind the Cyclones for first place in the division.

After winning six straight games, the Walleye have dropped two contests in a row and now find themselves in second place in the North, one point behind the Cyclones. This afternoon will commence a season-high tying six-game road swing for Toledo.
