Game Preview

The battle for the North Division heats up this evening as the Kalamazoo Wings host the Cincinnati Cyclones during the 2nd Annual McDonald’s Golden Ice Game, presented by McDonalds and WNWN. Tonight is also the first of two straight contests at Wings Stadium between K- Wings and Cyclones.

Preparing for the middle game of a three-game home stand, the K-Wings started the home stand with a 6-3 victory over the Toledo Walleye last Sunday. With three games in hand, Kalamazoo trails Cincinnati by four points for first place and hold leads over Toledo (one point) and Wheeling (two points) for second.

Winners of two straight, the Cyclones have created some breathing room in the division. Tonight caps off a busy nine days for Cincinnati. Including their Golden Ice clash against the K-Wings, the Cyclones have had six games over the course of the past nine nights.
