Lloyd Goes First

Including his goal yesterday, Darryl Lloyd has scored the games first goal in five games this season for the K-Wings. The five first goals by Lloyd is the most of any K-Wings player.

Firing Squad

Yesterday the K-Wings posted a season-high tying 20 shots in the opening period. The other time that Kalamazoo registered 20 shots was November 28th at Wings Stadium also against the Florida Everblades.

Not So Exciting

So far this season, the most exciting play in hockey, the penalty shot, has led to not so thrilling results for opponents for the K-Wings. Kalamazoo has stopped all three penalty shots they have faced this season.

Similar Endings

The last three road victories for the K-Wings have been decided on the final shot of the game. Kalamazoo defeated Toledo 1-0 with a 1.3 seconds remaining on January 1st, they beat Johnstown 4-3 in overtime on January 6th and last night they beat the Florida Everblades 4-3 in overtime.
